About
Origins
I was born and raised in the canyon and valley of Los Angeles, California where I spent most of my days in the sun or within the walls of a studio. I spent 10 years competing at a world championship level of Irish dance followed by a BFA in Modern Dance from Point Park University. During my undergraduate studies, I spent a semester studying at Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds, UK. Post graduation, I attended Nuova x professional dance program at NOD officina della danza in Turin, IT. Now I work based nomadically around the EU as a performer and creator, of both sound and movement. Facilitating spaces of research around the connection of the body and composition of movement and sound.
Vision
Inspiration
Inspiration for me is an amalgamation of my evolving curiosities and questions of identity and perception. I am fascinated by fantasy and indulging in worlds through research and new understandings in order to entice viewers into the worlds which we embody. My interests lie in the endless possibilities of allowing the many disciplines and techniques of my body's history to interact and inform each other to create new, unexpected and innovative work.
Production + Composition
Sound
Sound, for me, is movement in another form — a way to extend the body's language beyond the physical. Through the production and composition of sonic landscapes as an exploration of rhythm, texture, and the spaces between. The meeting of sound and movement are as intertwined as they could be within my practice... one informs the other which informs the other creating a constant exchange and conversation between worlds.
